We've had some concerns come in about the water quality for the Houston Triathlon. No worries, we would not put you into the water without testing it. The report (3 samples) is in our hands and has passed with flying colors. The lake is full, clear, and beautiful. No more excuses. It's go time people!

HOUSTON SELLS OUT!

The Olympic (800) and Sprint (700) are completely sold out! That's a 450 person increase from last year! Thanks for everyone's massive support. You're all the reason we're able to keep raising our standards and pushing the limits on what we do for you. On another note....We are happy to welcome Brandon Adame, the first C-Different athlete to race an Onurmark Productions Event. Believe it or not he snagged up the very last entry to the sprint and completely filled up the race. Talk about timing!

GREAT HOUSTON TRI PRE RACE CLINIC AT TOWNE LAKE!

Thanks to all those that braved the elements only to be rewarded when the thunder, lightning, and rain dissipated around start time for our swim/run clinic yesterday. With about 100+ that remained they were able to get a great feel for swimming the lake and running the course. Although not what we had planned due to weather restrictions, a great time was still had by all.

Friday, September 16, 2011

The Houston Triathlon Olympic distance is now sold out. The waiting list has started through our registration site. It's free to get on the Olympic distance waiting list and the first 50-75 have a great chance of getting in at packet resale. Those wanting to compete in the sprint still have a chance to register as we have 26 spots remaining before that distance also goes to a waiting list.

2012 KEMAH DATE APPROVED!

The official date for the 2012 Memorial Hermann Kemah Triathlon will be April 29. We were approved by city council last night so we are good to go! Remember, as of now, the sprint and olympic distances will both be on Sunday. Charity events like the Pro Dinner, Kids Race, and Kemah 5k will happen on Saturday. We will also have our open water swim clinic with run the weekend before! Stay tuned for more news.

King, Glauser, & Gray Battle for TX3 Title

Dean King leads Grant Glauser in the overall male standings for the TX3 Championship. Dean's speed is legendary in the city of Houston but this year Grant Glauser seems to be winning everything he touches. This new pro racing for Onurleft Sports got his license with his impressive placing at the Kemah Triathlon and is looking to capture the TX3 Title at the Memorial Hermann Houston Triathlon at Towne Lake. It's going to be a battle. With others like Bradley Pigage, Derek Yorek, Weslie Anderson, Robert Wade and Frank Sarosdy it's really anyones race to win. Be there to see this race unfold!

On the women's side Sarah Gray from OutRival has a significant lead over Grace Benes and Joanna Fiddler but remember since the Houston Triathlon is the TX3 Championship and is double the points anyone has a chance at the title.
